Resources
The best resources for Gospel study.
Learning
For someone who might be new to our Church Doctrine.
You can request hard copies of The Scriptures from missionaries at comeuntochrist.org
Or read them in there entirety with study tools such as foot notes and essays here. It is mobile accessible too. And avaliable in many languages.
The Church also has an app filled with Gospel content called “Gospel Library" it is available on Android and iOS.
Other content I love is the “Now you know series" simple short explained videos from the Church about our beliefs. The Church Youtube channel has many great videos.
If you have any questions or wish to have human interactive question asking and listening lessons the best place to go is always the missionaries, they are also happy to set up lessons through free video conferencing such as zoom.
Growing
Here are my favourite resources for growing closer to my savior and learning and being edified in my faith.
The best places to nourish faith are The Scriptures, they are for our day and what the Prophets teach us in conferance.
The first, scriptures, need to be studied, however mundane it may be they make a difference, and are very rewarding when you don't just ready but stidu. They teach very important concepts, Christ taught “ it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.” Matthew 11. This means when we are intune with the Spirit and have the desire to learn, praying before helps, we will learn alot more than just what is written. Looking from there perspective, how it must have like for them and Learning to apply those teachings and how you aught to be, to yourself. Furthermore every scripture testifies of Christ and how we aught to live in some way. This adds so much Spiritual momentum to our day and protects us against the attempts of the adversary (Satan) to hurt our day and lives. Elder Bednar put it well when he taught that each time you study your Scriptures or say a heartfelt prayer, you take a metaphorical step closer to God and away from Satan and badness.
Secondly, Conferance Talks. From the Scriptures, and also Church History, we all know that Following the Prophet is what helps keep us on track and helps us make the most informed, best choices. Historically speaking, those not doing as such after hearing there council have been wrong and suffered the consequences of choosing the bad choice, which is always sad and less than what He wants for you, a better more full joyus life. “Men are that they may have Joy”. Conferance Talks, as well as Scripture helps us hear doctrine. And know it's true. And invites the Spirit and we often learn much if we are in the attitude to learn. I've experienced all of what I've said and the other side of the effects and can testify those two are most vital after Prayer in our lives and will help you.
The Gospel library app is filled with amazing content. I also collect audio books and PDFs not found on the Gospel library, these are avaliable here and are highly recommended especially for full-time missionaries both proselyting and service. I study these resources (except for the pending folders) and place particular value in them. Scripture study is always more important. But they add to there goodness. So ‘pinch of salt’ for a lot of it. I reccomend first of all the audio of the King Follett Discourse by Joseph Smith reading. It's spectacular.
He guides you if you want Him to.
